Leading the week
Iran deal: The framework agreement reached between the US and Iran is likely to continue to dominate the news next week after technical discussions planned for today in Switzerland were postponed. The two sides could still meet in Burgenstock this weekend or possibly next week, when the Trump administration is also expected to fully brief Congress on the terms of the deal. Next week is also supposed to see the US host further peace talks between Israel and Lebanon, though it remains unclear whether the fragile situation on the ground in Lebanon could impact the planned negotiations.
